Sourced from 3.5 hectares located in the communes of Beaumont-Monteaux, Chano-Curson and Mercurol. The grapes grow on soils of clay-limestone and are farmed without any pesticides, synthetic or chemical fertilizers. The vines average between 15 and 25 years of age. The wine is fermented using native yeasts and aged 50% in tank and 50% in used oak (3-10 years old) then left to age on the fine lees. Production is just over 1,000 cases.
This wine has a beautiful texture with notes of dried white fruits, apricot and citrus, then the energy of the limestone takes over and gives freshness and minerality. So often white Rhones tend to be monolithic and blousy, but this wine is the complete opposite as it’s bright, fresh and well balanced.
