Apothic Dark is brooding California blend living up to its name in both presence and taste. It blends dark fruit aromas of blueberry and blackberry with hints of coffee and dark chocolate on the nose. All of the promised elements of dark fruits and chocolate come cascading across the palate. A fruit forward red wrapped in a rich, velvety mouth filling style. Smooth and lengthy on the finish where balanced structure meets a richness of oak influence. A great glass of wine to finish the night with or to serve opposite bleu cheese crusted filet mignon with parmesan-mushroom risotto and arugula. -Joe P.
