Producer Description
Champagne Collet is an iconic Champagne brand and its elegant Art Deco packaging is evocative of the Belle Epoque era from when it was established. It is the oldest cooperative in Champagne, dating back to 1921. Since its inception, Collet has been creating Champagnes of character with authenticity, elegance and great finesse. Located in Aÿ, in the heart of the Champagne region, Collet represents some of the finest growers and mainly sources from vineyards which are based on Premier and Grand Cru sites. Each cuvée reflects the diversity of the regions terroirs and has been masterfully blended to suit gastronomic cuisine.
Notes of white flowers, citrus. Stone fruit, such as quince, apple, crisp pear as well as white peach. Small delicate touches of spices, cumin, anise and herbs, black tea and lime tea. Light pastry notes, like the puff pastry of an apple tart. An impression of freshness as delicate as the bubbles are fine. A wine with a balanced texture. Stone fruit (quince, pear, apple and almost-candied lemon zest). A straightforward and refined wine, with a wonderful persistence in the mouth, crunchy like a thin caramel biscuit.
A blend of Pinot Meunier 50%, Chardonnay 30%, Pinot Noir 20%.
