An outstanding value from a slightly out-of-the-way region of France. This is pure finesse Pinot Noir.
Very light in color, delicate soft fruits on the nose with a nice touch of pepper, violets, cranberry skin and tart cherry. The palate is elegant, clean and bright with good complexity pushing into an earthy tone with a vibrant finish. There is a very good balance between the red fruits and the acid. A perfect summer red to drink with a slight chill.
Producer Description
Lighter medium-bodied, dry. A pure, soft steel-processed expression of Pinot Noir from Lorraine, France. Located in between Champagne and Alsace about 40 miles away from Germany, this region is as much Germanic as it is French, and the style is similar to Pinot Noir found in Baden. Stony zingy fruit on the nose followed by strawberry, cherry, and blackberry on the palate. A touch of funk, green stems, and bright acids on the finish. Pair this chillable red with schnitzels, charcuterie, and steak frites as well as cheese or solo.
