Jasper Morris Inside Burgundy 91-93pts
Two-thirds whole bunch vinification. A lush purple colour. The bouquet too is one of the more extrovert. Some white pepper from the whole bunches helps to break up the fruit, a slightly smoky quality, then the raspberry cherry fruit returns. Good acidity behind from this hillside vineyard. Drink from 2026-2033.

Producer Description
These vines, aged on average about fifty years, are located on the hillsides of Morey-Saint-Denis, above the Grand Cru Clos de la Roche. Genavrieres is a small climate produced since 2019 in small quantities. It is vinified with 80% of the whole harvest. This Morey-Saint-Denis combines generosity and subtlety with aromas of crunchy berries. In the end, it offers this characteristic persistence of large black pinots.
Burghound: 91-94 Points
Deeply hued. There is a vaguely exotic quality to the spicy aromas of orange peel, jasmine tea, cinnamon and black cherry scents. The super-sleek palate impression of the medium-bodied flavors is due largely to the very fine-grained tannins shaping the stony, tautly muscular and sneaky long finish. This is really lovely and should age accordingly.
