Producer Description
The nose opens up on notes of blackcurrant, boysenberries and fresh rose petal with a hint of tobacco. The mouthfeel is soft with a savory black fruit sustained by powdery tannins. The ripeness of the fruit translates in earthy aromas with a spicy finish ofcinnamon and dark chocolatenotes.The vintage brings beautiful aromatic complexity and a more approachable character than the serious 2013.

Lots of sweet-tobacco, currant and coffee character, yet this remains refined and subtle. Mushroom undertones. Medium to full body, ultra-fine tannins and a velvety texture. Complex and fascinating. Spanish cedar all the way.
Wine Advocate: 90 Points
The wines from the extremely hot drought year, 2014, were just bottled prior to my visit. The 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon Altagracia is suppressed in the aromatics, which is due to recent bottling, but exhibits a deep ruby/purple color, outstanding ripeness, elegance and loads of blackcurrant fruit intermixed with dusty/loamy soil scents and spice. Drink it over the next 12-15 years.
