Producer Description
Leflaive’s Volnay is sourced from select parcels spread throughout the appellation. The grapes are hand harvested prior to fermentation and aging in a combination of new and used oak barrels and stainless steel.

Typical of the opulence of a juicy Volnay, this wine is generous and full of black fruits. The fruits combine with a backdrop of tannins and with plenty of acidity to give a ripe wine that will be ready from 2020.

Aromas of ripe cherries, black raspberries, spices and rose hips introduce the 2017 Volnay Village, a medium to full-bodied, velvety and fleshy wine with a succulent core of fruit, powdery structuring tannins and ripe acids. This is a charming, nicely balanced Volnay that will have some aging potential.
