A wonderful South African blend of 40% Roussanne, 30% Verdehlo, 20% Viognier, and 10% Chenin Blanc. While this is essentially an un-oaked wine, the Viognier fermented in neutral French oak barrels for 4 months to provide a soft tannin frame for the mineral cut of the “unconforming” white blend. Lovely citrus notes balance the vibrant minerality.
Producer Description
The Swartland is home of some of South Africa's most interesting old vineyards and a wide variety of grapes. This medium-bodied white has stone fruit flavors and a hint of white flowers alongside crisp acidity and pleasant structure.
