Producer Description
Located at the highest point of the Bandol appellation, the exceptional estate overlooks the Mediterranean Sea and benefits from an ideal mix of hot sunny days and nights. This outstanding terroir combined with the winemaking heritage of Guillaume Tari, 7th generation of winemakers raised at Château Giscours in Margaux, enables to produce unique and elegant wines.
The particularity of La Bégude is its extraordinary diversity of soils and expositions. This mosaic of vines looks like a painter’s color palette. The Domaine is also certified organic. 85% Mourvedre, 15% Grenache
Dark ruby in color, an intense and aromatic nose. Fresh and elegant in the mouth, well-structured with black fruits flavors, toasty notes, strong and firm tannins in their early days.
Pairs perfectly with red meat or in sauce, lamb, duck with olives, Provençal stew, and truffle dishes.
Decanter: 97 Points
Inviting spicy oak, malt and blackberry cream scents. Powerfully structured tannins, spicy liquorice and clove flavours as well as bramble fruit; very long finish. Its best years are far into the future. Terrific stuff.

This bold, structured wine from the renowned estate combines rich Mourvèdre tannins with spice and fragrance hinting at the nearby Mediterranean. With its impressive density the wine could age further. Drink from 2022.
